Hill Physicians Medical Group Earns High-quality, Affordable Care Award
Hill Physicians Medical Group, the largest independent Physician Association in Northern California, was one of only 24 provider organizations statewide to receive the Excellence in Healthcare Award from the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) for Measurement Year 2024. The award was announced in December 2025.
The award is based on performance in quality and cost of care for patients with commercial HMO coverage. Hill Physicians was honored for results in both its East Bay and Sacramento regions.
Part of IHA’s statewide Align. Measure. Perform. (AMP) program, the Excellence in Healthcare Award recognizes provider organizations that perform at or above the 66th percentile in quality and below the 50th percentile in total cost of care. Nearly 200 provider organizations participated statewide with 2024 metrics.

New Headquarters Added Value, Reduced Cost
Employees at Hill Physicians Medical Group’s San Ramon headquarters gathered with CEO David Joyner and President and Chairman of the Board Gregg Pottorff, M.D., for a ribbon-cutting ceremony in October 2025—just one month after relocating down the street within Bishop Ranch, from 2409 Camino Ramon to 2613 Camino Ramon. Thank you to the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce for organizing the warm welcome!
The move allowed Hill Physicians Management Company’s PriMed division to reduce its carbon footprint and save $10 million annually by downsizing from a 101,000-square-foot building to a 67,000-square-foot space. The new workspace also enhances technology and fosters greater collaboration among the teams based in San Ramon.
