Our Secret Sauce: Our Collaborative Physicians

After just over a year as Chief Medical Officer with Hill Physicians Medical Group, I continue to be energized by the numerous opportunities I have to collaborate with physicians throughout Northern California.

In the past year, I have traveled across our regions — from San Francisco and the East Bay to Sacramento, the foothills, and the Sierra Nevada — and have been impressed by our extensive reach, commitment to growth and unwavering focus on quality care. I am proud to represent the largest network of independent physicians in California, a group that collectively cares for one of the most diverse populations of patients in the country. The hard work and accomplishments of Hill Physicians in 2024 have made it clear that our “secret sauce” lies in physician engagement and partnership. What does that partnership look like? It looks like the resources we bring to reach our population health goals across our population. It looks like the technologies and centralized services we provide, which simplify operations for high-quality care in physician practices. It’s the aligned incentives to focus on preventive care and avoid needless use of precious hospital resources. And it’s the commitment our physicians make to follow best practices and contribute to all of our shared success.

This commitment to partnership is why Hill Physicians continues to prosper. In a market dominated by huge healthcare organizations, we have carved out an enduring place for independent physicians, practices of all sizes, and aligned system partners. This extensive and diverse network provides personalized care with a community connection that no other system can offer.
